FormFlow is a Google Forms add-on that turns form submissions into approval workflows. It sends approval emails, stores workflow state in a linked Google Sheets response file, and provides a review surface for approvers.
FormFlow accesses only the data required to run the workflow you configure:
Response rows and approval history are written to the linked Google Sheet selected by the owner. The publisher-operated Google Apps Script project also stores approval routing configuration (including approver addresses), Sheet locators, access-link metadata, compact status snapshots, and queued decisions (including bounded comments) in Script Properties. These are Google-hosted but are not all stored inside your own form. FormFlow does not send workflow content to an external analytics service.
FormFlow sends emails only for approval routing and workflow notifications. Approval actions are handled through unique links that point to the workflow web app and are validated before an action is recorded.
Google approved the current FormFlow OAuth App Verification request on May 26, 2026 for the Apps Script execution, email sending, and container UI scopes used by this approval workflow build. If FormFlow requests new sensitive or restricted scopes, or if the OAuth consent screen configuration changes, a new verification request may be required.
The public Google Workspace Marketplace install path and first-run Preflight smoke were verified on May 27, 2026. A normal first run requires selecting the linked response spreadsheet with Google Picker before enabling the workflow.
We do not sell, rent, or disclose workflow data or personal data to third parties. Workflow records use the linked Sheet and publisher-operated Google Apps Script properties as described above. Approval emails are sent to the recipients configured by the owner.
Workflow settings remain available while the add-on is active on your form. Approval history stays in the linked spreadsheet under your control until you remove it. Compact runtime records can remain in the publisher-operated Apps Script project; uninstalling alone does not guarantee their deletion. Contact support for removal assistance, and identify the form privately rather than including response contents.
FormFlow relies on Google's infrastructure for storage and authentication. The add-on does not ask you to create a separate password or move your data to a non-Google storage system.
