FormCopy setup guide and support

Set up FormCopy inside the Google Sheets response file linked to your Google Form and troubleshoot formula copy-down, backfill, and row-level errors.

Quick start

Get running fast

  1. Open the linked response spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
  2. Put the formulas you want to copy in row 2 of the destination columns.
  3. Launch FormCopy, enable the trigger, and save settings.
  4. Run Preflight or Run Once to confirm formulas copy cleanly into existing rows.

Permissions and reviewer notes

  • Google Sheets access to read row 2 formulas and write results into new rows.
  • Container UI access for the sidebar and spreadsheet menu entry only.
FAQ

Common questions

Why are no formulas detected?

FormCopy scans row 2 only. Add your formula pattern there first, then refresh the sidebar.

Can I test existing rows?

Yes. Use Run Once from the sidebar to apply the current pattern to existing rows below the source row.

Where do copy failures go?

Any write error is logged into the FormCopy Error Report sheet so you can review row-level issues.
