FormGuard runs inside Google Forms. It needs permission to read and update the active form, save add-on settings, and send owner notifications when you enable email alerts.
| Scope | Plain-English use |
|---|---|
| forms.addons | Lets FormGuard run as a Google Forms add-on and appear from the Forms Add-ons entry point. |
| forms.currentonly | Lets FormGuard work with the current form you open, including response settings, choice options, schedules, and close messages. |
| script.send_mail | Lets FormGuard send owner notification emails when you enable close or submission alerts. |
| userinfo.email | Lets FormGuard show or use the installing account email for owner notifications and support context. |
| script.scriptapp | Lets FormGuard create and manage Apps Script triggers needed for scheduled open/close checks. |
| script.container.ui | Lets FormGuard display its sidebar and UI inside the Google Forms editor. |
You can remove FormGuard from Google Workspace Marketplace's Manage Apps page or from your Google account add-on settings. If a rule was configured, open the form first and disable the rule before uninstalling when possible.
