Examples

Typical FormGuard workflows

Close a signup form after 50 responses

Turn on Response limiter, set the cap to 50, add a clear closed-form message, and optionally notify the owner when the cap is reached.

Retire a full workshop or volunteer role

Use Choice eliminator when each answer option has its own capacity, such as a session, pickup window, or volunteer role.

Open and close a form on schedule

Use Timer controls when a request window should begin and end automatically without manual checking.

Pair controls together

FormGuard works best when you combine a form-level rule, a clear message, and owner notifications so both respondents and operators know what happens next.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I close the form automatically after a certain number of responses?

Yes. Turn on Response limiter and choose the maximum count.

What happens when a timed close is reached?

FormGuard updates the form state automatically and can notify the owner if notifications are enabled.

How do advanced controls work?

During the current public launch, response limits, timers, choice elimination, and notifications are all available while billing stays off.

What should I avoid promising?

FormGuard is a practical control layer for Google Forms. It is not a strict reservation backend, an automatic waitlist promotion system, or a quantity-aware inventory engine.
